Excellent Video! I love the way that you maintain the tradition, continue to teach the old ways, but also teach how to apply the principals in the modern day. So many schools are either traditional or modern. The great thing about the Budo Ryu Kai is that you have to learn the tradition first, then, you explore the principals and philosophies and apply them in a modern situation.

super interesting, I love that those same few hundred year old techniques are still deadly effective today. its eye opening especially in todays " if its not brand new its useless " attitude sometimes. you are awesome Anshu and im glad im not that Uke lol.

Wow, just watching this video made me feel HIS pain. Lol

But, in all seriousness, I like the application in using a pen. And some pens have a slightly pointed cap, so you could still apply an ample amount of pressure with the cap on. But, the great thing about these techniques, I think, are the things you could use. A pen is a great choice. But, you might not have one handy. What would use in this case? If you have went somewhere recently and are still outside, the awnser is simple: A key. One of your car keys or house keys, provided they are long enough. My car is a bit old, a 2003. It is one of those type of keys that have the plastic compartment with the electronic chip in it. The blade of the key alone is as long as my middle finger, and I am 6 foot, 3 inches tall, so my hands are a bit large. A key of that type should also work for the techniques shown here, I think.
