I'm gonna be honest here: If this were the actual music video for this song, then it'd probably be more successful than a version where everything went right.
The overwhelming majority, almost the entirety of all music videos is done to look as good as possible. Dozens or hundreds of takes to get it absolutely perfect. In the end, those are simply common stuff. Everyone knows what to expect, since everydone does it this way.
Intentional, well-coreographed screw-ups, on the other hand, are rarely used. Most of the time, however, the comedic effect that stems from these helps tremendously with getting the song popular.

This... is actually something I could see being a real music video. The song is about not messing up at love but these guys mess up time after time after time and are *still going* to try and make it work and it’s working out better than you could imagine.
