Love your new home and classroom! I love UK schools that allow young children to learn by play. Maria Montessori's “Play is the work of the child” is my favorite teaching quote. In my area of the US, the classrooms for younger children have become so academic. If children cannot read by the end of K5, they cannot go to the next grade level. Children mature at different rates. It makes me sad that some children are made to feel like failures in K5! Your classroom is wonderful!!

Beautiful classroom. I am a substitute teacher in the US ( I am British) you are a great teacher with a wonderful demeanour. I still lack confidence in the classroom although i have been subbing 10 years! But pray for God confidence. What age group do you teach? I do miss the UK a lot and have struggled with homesickness!
