This was one of the few movies they redid, that I actually liked. Made me forget only a couple made it out. Though I'm sure if they redid the original movie this movie was made after, it would suck. 7 samurai was a great movie, but when they redo Japanese stuff, boy howdy it sucks. Hara kiri is my reference

Honestly though, Pratt's character was in the wrong on this one. Lost his horse gambling and even admitted it. Was trying to weasel out of it. Irish man brandished to get the point across. He was basically about to kill that little man just to steal his horse back.
