Great video and channel... I have the Yellotec Mika with on air indicator and love it (suporting Neumann TLM102) they look sleek professional and you can mount extras to the system poles like camera's or ipad mounts, I use it on TikTok everyday.

I have an Elgato and a K&M boom arm. The Elgato is fine for light mics, but the K&M is necessary for heavy mics, and I had to go and make sure about the arm's capacity. When you hang a heavy mic on an arm, you absolutely don't want that mic to budge.

As somebody who still works in broadcasting, the Rode is my personal favourite. I use Rode arms in my booth at home and they're going to last a lifetime. I have no idea how a company using plastic can charge such high prices. Also what about when you want to upgrade or change the XLR cable?

I hate desk clamps, they seem to never be either wide or deep enough for my desk. It is true that often these desks are made from old doors, but that should not matter. Thanks.

I thought El Gato was gonna have more rumble cause of being closer to the table.., but wow, completely wrong from my part, maybe makes sense as vibration travel, so closer to table less waves traveling... but I know squat of waves and vibrations 🤷‍♂️, but still, El gato did amazingly well.
