Really agree with him about journalism being a public service. Once they found out it made money, was entertainment... we got fear mongering and political bias.

I love the chemistry those two have, just how they mess with each other with so much respect and dignity.

And Mr. Wallece is just so sharp, even when comedy isn't his home court.

Always a pleasure to watch... Happy he came to his senses 😉

Wow, if only we could get news on TV back to a non-profit service to the public!

Wallace is one of those guys I often disagree with politically but have a lot of respect for as a journalist. The guy asks genuine questions, challenges everyone, and is a well-intentioned good person.

That was great. They are weirdly well matched.

I think it's honestly interesting that Chris Wallace can take such a nuanced approach to his own father's legacy on the matter of how news and journalism has evolved over the years. He really displays a level of awareness you don't typically see from national reporting nowadays.

I really like what he showed of himself in this interview. He really feels like a man of integrity, who wants to go for the truth, and in particular genuinely wants to go beyond the left-right divide, not just to act superior or subversive.

Nicely played, Chris!

Also great to see someone being able to look at themselves and their family in a critical manner. There’re not enough people able to do so in this world.

Great to see Mr Wallace open up and clearly happier for his move. His interview style and approach will bring balance to CNN. I really enjoy the energy between himself and Mr Colbert. I hope he will appear on Mr Wallace program.

Growing up in the 60’s Chris has hit the nail on the head about the news. Chris also has some balls asking Putin why people end up dead. I have soo much respect for Chris just wish I could say it about many other news anchors.

I miss the days when news was just a public service😏

This was very poignant point by Wallace. It's when the news became a "business" where the purpose was to monetize your attention that they began "chasing audiences" instead of chasing the facts or the truth. Clearly, Wallace have thought a lot about this.

Chris Wallace’s good sense of humor is the sign of his intelligence.

Chris' 3am retort at the end was flawless. Hope Stephen actually goes on his new show, would be great to see these two together in a less comedic setting.

I loved Mike Wallace. I started watching from the first segment the very first day of 60 Mins. I was 11. (I am a news nerd). I wish there could news like news back in the day. It was worth your attention & time.

"We're not trying to make money off this. We just want to provide a public service."
There you have it in a nutshell: Better news, better government, better health care, better education.

I like Colbert because unlike other late night hosts, he allows his guests to speak and doesn't constantly interrupt them

He was brave to ask Putin that question.

Wise, delightful and honorable men. Not many left out there in the media.

I'm honestly kind of sad Chris Wallace isn't at Fox News anymore? I never watched his show but he was always someone that I actually respected. Now Fox has nobody left. I always love his appearances here though.
