RMT chief Mick Lynch has slammed new anti-strike bill as he repeats comparison of the government's law to oppressive regimes like China.

Mr Lynch said: "If they were doing that in Putin's Russia, in Iran or China, they would rightly be condemned... Conscripting workers to go to work against their will is an outrage and that's what this legislation will bring forward."

RMT leader added that "the attempt to break the strike to imports more dangerous than anything else".

The Question I would ask is. Railway companies that are subsidised by our taxes. How many MPs, and those that who sit in the House of Lords, have shares in these companies and receive a dividend?

Mick Lynch is the first person I've seen provide actual opposition to Government. Maybe he could be the leader of the labour party too. It's be nice to have a choice next election.

No government does NOT have the power or the rights to ban anything unless the people give the government the authority to do so. 650 MP s do not order 70 million .

Just as well we’ve got you to call out this outrage, because the Labour Party and the MSM won’t. Barb

And so he should do, this has deep reaching implications into human rights that go beyond unions going on strike. Now you begin to see how much your government "don't" care about the taxpayers and why they constantly refused to offer a deal. What a shame these MP's couldn't be as quick moving 47000 unidentified illegal migrants into secure compounds not into luxury all expenses paid hotels. Imagine your government actually doing something for their own people for once ?Anyone

If you hold the country to ransom and follow outdated working practices, this is what you get.

You can't force people to go into work, but if your their employer you can sack them for taking time off because they are affecting your business. Can Tesco or any other shop or private business staff stay at home protesting because they want more pay or perks NO! They would say here's your p45 if you don't like working here. Time for the Railways, Postal service & any other government run businesses to comply the same as private businesses. Your rise is my taxes, Your strikes are affecting my travel to work = no wage, my mail = important letters affecting financial losses, personal losses due to late info, my health = treatment missed even death. Strikers like any other sector should be sacked its called equal rights for everyone.
