The Ford Fiesta has long been Britain’s best selling car, but so far in 2021 this hugely popular supermini - now in its seventh-generation - has been trailing its perennial rival, the Vauxhall Corsa, in the new car registration charts. But now, Ford is fighting back with this: the new, facelifted Ford Fiesta, and it’s on sale now. The refreshed supermini features a new design, an updated interior and additional technology. There’s no fully-electric variant, but a pair of mild-hybrid engines are available, with the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. But is it enough to knock the Corsa off its perch? Here’s Yousuf Ashraf with a rundown of what’s new with the Fiesta.

i currently have a 2018 vauxhall corsa, just went to Ford thismorning and placed a deposit on the new Ford Fiesta ST 2022, part exchange, in Red! CANNOT WAIT for it.

The only reason Corsa out sold the Fiesta was lots of potential buyers went for the Puma instead. Ford kind of shooting itself in the foot regarding the Fiesta.

As a Fiesta ST owner in the USA, I can only admire these models from afar, Ford having ditched the US version. But they look quite good!

It’s a good car and same goes for the Focus ST but the new face lift in my opinion does not look as good as pre face lift. I personally would go for the older model.

Raised front makes it look more like a B-Max. Instead they should have sloped the rear down.

I'm a Fiesta fan long term although finding the face lift very conservative looking. Pre face lift grille suits it best in st line /st form.

I have a MK 7 Fiesta Zetec and I actually really like it 😅 such a comfortable drive and not so gutless in the right gear. I don't like this new shape but maybe the experience makes up for that, will have to test drive! :)

Love my Ford Fiesta ST2 Mk8 i have now but the value of used cars is through the roof.
So managed to get a Brand new ST3 in mean green for the same price with Performance Pack. And too spec 👌
Yeah i probably still prefer the look of my current Mk8 but the face lift is definitely growing on me.
Hated the mk8 when i first seen it but now love it so hopefully the sane will Happy.

It seems to get uglier on the outside with each facelift. The interior of the Mk7 has put me off going for one, but they haven't managed to improve the look of the exterior since that model; it was the perfect blend of stylish and a bit mean

mk7.5 zetec s, st line and st are by far the best looking. Love mine
