YouTube is much more competitive than it was when I first started uploading back in March 2006. Today, if you're serious about growing your channel and turning YouTube into your career, there are certain skills you need to have or learn. I've outlined what I think are the top 10 in this video. Of course there are more but if you can implement these, you'll be well on your way to seeing massive growth on your channel so you can get more views, get more subscribers, earn more money, and be a full-time creator.

Other than the video you linked can you recommend any other videos where creators delve into analytics and give a very thorough analysis on what to pay attention to/how to read and improve your analytics? Those kinds of videos seem harder to find on YT!

What do you think about finding relevant data to analyze in the new Studio Beta? Be honest. - I personally like the few new additions, but the whole new navigation is much more complex and illogical. Beside that, I still miss the powerful and "fully customizable" graph comparisons from Classic Studio. I hope they will drop the whole fullscreen "deep-dive" and give us back regular site navigation while in deep-dive. I also hope they will re-combine video analytics with channel analytics. All analytics in one place, where they should be.

First of all... love the place you are at. Growing up in the mountains I always enjoy being in the woods... and to your videos. Yes I agree completely with everything you have to say. I am very lucky that I am older … lol... and I have many years of photography behind me which helps me in putting all these videos together. Marketing I learned from my photography business, I used to do acting and used to work as radio announcer so I am using this skill big time... I was able to reach 1K in 5 months very recently which I was super happy about... however, it is lots of work.... and too many people think it is just an easy fun... not exactly... awesome video.. right on point.
