To some people, the camera's cap is like the camera's underwear. 🤣 Is covering the sensor, sensorship?

Tony buys his cameras. He can do whatever he wants to it. Stick it in mud if he wants, I wouldn’t, it’s not a Pentax 😂

Actually it is good to have a visual reference to the sensor size. That also tells the sensor size immediately.

That baby Canon aps-c sensor inside the RF mount, it's like opening a big bag of chips and then it's like 80% air. 😂

What a chunky boy, with those Pentax Q proportions. I swear, Canon pretty serious about not attracting users over from their phones, huh?

They're your cameras. Do as you will.

The other thing you should point out: that's not *actually* the sensor you are showing. That's the *glass* cover to the sensor. No sensor is "bare", they all have glass IR cut filters and other protection over them. There is no danger to the sensor here except potentially a little (easily removed) dust.

"If I put a lens on, the camera now focuses on the lens and the whole camera body is out of focus"

Well stop shooting at F0.9 :D

I guess my question is why don't all mirrorless cams have mech shutter that closes automatically to protect the sensor. I would manually open it though to make it visually interesting. I agree Tony.

I was literally just thinking this on the last short... And I wasn't sure if how much better is looked was enough to put me at ease.

Peeps, the sensor is under 1 or 2 other pieces of glass that protect it. If you scratch that first layer you can remove it and the camera is worth even more because it can shoot in Infrared

If you don't want the camera body out of focus when the lens is on, stop down by a few tonehs

The problem is to send a message at newbies that there is no problem letting the sensor be exposed like that. Many people are afraid to clean their sensors themselves. And the sensor isn’t nearly as interesting as you seem to think.

The Nikon have sensor protection. It’s called RESPECT 😅

Dust doesn't really reach the sensor but the hot mirror or the ir filter. So the sensor is safe in the first place.

The people complaining about this are 100% the people to scared to clean their sensor. 😂😂😂😂

Tony is so good looking that Dust refuses to mess with his gear.

He kept the R10 covered because size does indeed matter. That's what she said.

Is it practically possible to clean a sensor to the cleanliness it came with, when new?
