is this seriously still going on? what the hell is wrong with people? despite countless videos of orcas displaying concerning behavior in captivity they STILL do this. Do not EVER waste your money to see these shows. Imagine being that orca, spending your entire life just circling in a tiny cage that you can barely even turn around in, only coming out to do "tricks" for the audience. Not even to mention the loud ass music they play the entire time.😐

theres no way this is still legal atp, i remember a statement made by an ex seaworld worker saying imagine a world with no seaworlds?
i dont get why people value seaparks so much just to go pay (at this particular park, £35 entry and for this show £61) to see abused animals do a couple tricks around a bath sized type pool
lor parque especially has an awful reputation for its care towards its animals its sick that this is all just done for money

Well I had my hotel in Puerto de la Cruz and I was like 10 minutes away from this Loro Park. I went there. Entire zoo is amazing and I believe that 90~% of smaller animals actually live in a safe "sanctuary" with infinite food and vet help but after all I went to the orca show and now I have a guilty conscience. They have really good PR, they probably follow all accusations on the internet and everything is staged at the beginning of the show to make people feel like this is the best place for orcas on this planet so when they release them everyone is happy. There's even short animated movie with Morgan showing how she almost died in the ocean due to the poachers, lost family, pollution etc and now she's safe in Loro. Everything is fine up until you start thinking about what's actually happening with orcas after this 15~minutes show. I was there once it was cool but for these huge animals shows are twice a day EVERYDAY. They repeat the same routing to just get food. Also this swimming pool looks huge but... orcas are not staying there after show is done. They are moved to MUCH SMALLER tanks and are basically trapped alone until next show or training. I'm sure that nobody is hurting them there but it's just a matter of trapping these huge animals in such a small pools - this is cruel.

Las orcas en libertad tienen la aleta levantada. Es muy triste tener estos animales tan bellos y grandes encerrados en piscinas hasta que mueren. En libertad recorren miles de kilómetros nadando y viven en manadas. No sé como todavía hay gente que paga por ver este crimen. Comprando una entrada contribuyen a que sigan existiendo estas cárceles para estos bellos animales. Loro Parque en Tenerife, tiene en la actualidad a cuatro orcas 😡😡😡.

Veo los delfines desde el acantilado y en la playa. Van superfelices . Saltan muchísimo y pueden ir a donde les da la gana. Fui a loro parque . Pero me dió ganad de llorar y me fui

La aleta dorsal doblada es por el cautiverio…se les atrofia por la falta de espacio para moverse y ser más activos. Me enfada muchísimo que quieran “educar” con datos falsos.

KETO O KIRO, lo llamaban de la misma forma, mató a su entrenador, Alex, un chico joven. No se si es alguna Orca de las q están ahí.
En el Ocean de USA también otra orca mató a su entrenadora. Keto o Kiro venía de ahí.

Kshamenk and Naja should be moved here as that would give them a chance to be with their own species. Sad that Kiska and Lolita passed away. As Marineland Antibes plans to have their two orcas Keijo and Wikie to another park in Japan. As both Naja is alone at Moskvarium and Kshamenk at Mundo Marino there be room for them both at Loro Parque to be with the other orcas. Either at this park or one of the parks in Japan As the newest park Kobe Suma Sea World where they would join Stella with the other orcas Keijo and Wikie that may move there or to Port Of Nagoya Public Aquarium with Earth and Lyn., either park be good for them.

It's heartbreaking to see how orcas are mistreated in captivity, with over 200 documented cases of aggression, all caused by stress and unnatural conditions. These magnificent animals deserve to live in the wild, not in concrete tanks where they're exploited and suffer. The abuse must end, and we need to fight for their freedom.
