In this episode of Drone Money, Harrison and Daniel will talk with Josh Hallock about being a one-man DSP who contracts with surveying, construction, utility, and engineering firms.

Josh started flying drones as a hobby. The hobby grew to a side hustle, as he found he could make money with aerial inspections, photogrammetry and surveying. Before he knew it, his Georgia-based Aerologic Solutions was a full-blown aerial LiDAR company and his full-time job.

So, how are you getting around the FAA requirement for a spotter since you are part 107?

Nice discussion. Congrats on the Mavic 3E. I downloaded some mapping sample data from a Mavic 3E and an Autel EVO II Pro recently. Two things I noticed immediately from the M3E were barrel distortion and a vignette on every photo. Do you guys see that also or has DJI corrected it. I don't remember how old the data was.

Hello brother i wana invest in a affordable drone to make money

A glider _Lidar is most efficient to the quad based drone and expensive plane

A solar propelled glider can stay up in the air all day especially with a regenerative power supply system
The air wing solar panel plane glider recharging the main battery while running on the backup battery
The Lidar in conjunction wit the gyro thus providing balance and data

A glider is much slower and energy conserving thus much better data compilation
Our towns can be observed much discretely with a Lidar_Glider
Lidars can provide co ordinates for emergency responses etc.

I can code this with Texas Instruments ie a pic micro controller
I can design the glider with Freecad CAD software

Quads are too noisy and not energy efficient
