I took care of my dad when he was dying of ALS. The last year of his life he really couldn't do anything so I was there every day to help him. Mind you I had a young child and a fiance and work the job too. I never wanted anything from my dad. When he died me and my brother split it three ways to spite me only being there for him. I didn't do it for the money I did it because I got to know my dad better than anyone, stories I never knew. I loved my dad so much and I know he was proud of me when he died. That was rewarding enough! That was 2020 and I have missed him everyday since!

I take care of my 85yr old grandmother not only that I moved in so she can get 24/7 care. I drive her everywhere, drs, store, out to eat and I pay out if my own pocket. She told me for doing all those things she left me everything she and my late grandfather owned. I have cousins but they rarely ever call her. Only visited a few times. I gave up a part of my life so I can take care of my granny.

Good! Parents & grandparents, enjoy your money while you're alive. It is not mandatory that you leave anyone anything! This is why we send our kids to school, to learn so THEY can provide for THEMSELVES! If they screwed up their schooling & ends up at McDonalds THAT IS NO ONES FAILT BUT THEIR OWN! My daughter would not do this. She adored my parents and can hardly talk about them since they passed recently. I took care of both of my parents til the day they died. Jessica and her husband were there whenever I needed them or just to visit. She cooked & cleaned for them.
