Netcat is fast for file transfers. It is useful for transferring large files when you don't need the security of scp.

I like how you addded the -p that you missed during the advert :-P. Also, I believe a > is not a carat, that it a ^ (or a hat). Good tip anyway.

Great video but I tried something similar, I was using a mobile hotspot for internet connection so I don't know if this was the issue, but I typed 'nc -lvp port number i chose' on my windows os cmnd window & pressed enter. It started listening. Then on my kali Linux, hosted via aws cloud, terminal (I also tried the putty terminal) I typed 'nc THEN THE IP4 IPADDRESS OF WINDOWS then port number i chose'. Pressed enter, typed hello expecting it to show on windows terminal, but nothing. Plz help? What am I doing wrong?

Does the command have to happen on both PC's at the same time? or Can you send a file on your windows and when you get back to the office two hours later. Open your linux box and do the command. Will the file be there?
