Spin gear for bottom bashing. Over head for jigging. In saying that I do have a heavy overhead rig I use for bottom bashing sometimes

Just bought a Anthem rod 10-15kg and a Gosa 14000, this is my new combo for Pelagics bit heavier than my normal setup I run for them which is Aird X 6 foot rod and Sedona 4000, been getting smoked too often on the light gear but man it's fun

For me the spin reel is more versatile, can be cast for gt’s, deep dropping and trolling.
