California 'Auto Burglary' Laws

California law defines auto burglary as entering a locked vehicle for the purpose of stealing the vehicle, stealing contents from inside the vehicle, or committing any felony inside the car or truck. As the criminal defense lawyers explain in this video, merely entering the locked vehicle with this criminal intent is sufficient to commit the crime of auto burglary...even if you never actually complete the intended theft. As serious as the crime is, just because you were arrested for auto burglary does not necessarily mean you will be convicted in court. There are ways to fight the charge and beat the case, often successfully.

This was well orchestrated he should never have been allowed to deliver my final check from Fox - it was him sending maintenance to break in and my son caught them at the 11920 Chandler apartment !!! This is too much

I did not consent I am not married the car belongs to me and only me ! The car was locked on purpose when it was towed and when I saw it last at the tow yard especially since I saw it was ransacked!!!

What if you are sleeping in the car and someone approaches your car dressed in black, with a black bag, at 4 am in the morning? Can I use force to defend myself, because if I'm sleeping and he comes up and I didn't wake up, my life is in danger. If I let him go, he could come back while I'm sleeping.

Stealing contents from inside that’s what they took my car for and I still have not recovered my vehicle from where ever @lapd took it. They are not in any right to take it on a false ticket !
