The Christmas break of our senior year, two friends and I took a trip down a never-used creek and found a place that had 4 telephone poles laid across the creek. We took turns with one guy catching bluegills from the crystal clear water, one guy cleaning, and one guy cooking them on the campfire. We spent a week there, and knew this was the last time we'd be able to go camping like this. It was great.
It was unspoiled wilderness in Central Florida; we saw one discarded Coke can on the whole trip.

How did the bluegill not snap the pole? You need at least 160 lb line to land one of those behemoths.

No joke I’ve caught many of 2 lb bluegill and quite a few a bit over 3lbs biggest I’ve caught was 3.56 or 3.58 can’t remember
