This worked for me, except in my case the checkmark was already selected. Toggling this setting off and then back on fixed it. Must be a bug.

Restarting Outlook resolved my issue, although I did uncheck and recheck the Teams addon in Outlook options.

I solved mine by following this AND Synching my laptop's date and time. I set the time to automatic. I guess the Join button didnt appear because I did some changes in my laptop's time and date before(I didnt synch it). So, I changed it again by clicking Synch now and Set time automatically in my laptop (Time and Date). After that, I was able to see the join button in my ms teams. (Not sure if this will also work you though.)
