Cumberland Police Chief Matt Benson was surprised when a package arrived just after Christmas.

Inside: a letter from a 10-year-old girl, telling them she took a sample of a cookie and carrots left for Santa and the reindeer, and was wondering if they could take a sample of the DNA and see if Santa's real.

That's great. Now the police have your parents DNA in their data system.

Tell her the truth - there is NO such thing as SANTA! She's old enough to know.

How cute and fun! Don't worry about the backlog of rape test kits because of the fun and cute. And who can forget about the backlog of drug test kits...oh wait, there's *NEVER* a backlog on those. They get sent away, right away, every time. I wonder why? Oh right, the financial motivation. Ftp.
