As a Westerner, I lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years. Men were more harshly treated than women in nearly every way. For example, women don't go to prison. They have equal rights to men. They are not beaten if they don't go to the mosque as men are. Women need guardians to accompany them when they go out because in Saudi there are about 2 million young male expatriate workers, many from developing countries. It is not safe for women to be out alone or to wear provocative clothing. People like this woman know nothing about life in Saudi Arabia!
