If I was to take a guess I'd say between 38 and 42 mph.

Our freight train track speeds are now 55 MPH thanks to the new track. However shortly up ahead a curve restricts us to 50 MPH, which is often why you will see moving slower than that. Although Intermodal freight has their own own speed limits for curve restrictions, faster than freight trains

Impossible to judge a trains speed by looking at a distence . I was taught this in the highway patrol academy. Later as a funeral Director I saw time and time again when a car would race with a train, and if it was a tie the car would always lose!

45 to 55 it's hard to judge because of its size

Your allowed to run a few mph under the max, your just not allowed to operate a few miles over the max because believe me GPS will get you and you’ll get a phone call, take your time to do the job right and your 401k will love you…..ms~~~
