Who remembers when Alchemy was available for Windows? I do miss it..iOS version certainly tempting!

AUM is my favorite tool. Cubasis added Steinberg’s Halion sounds and some new synths, making it even better. I like tools without subscriptions. Apple was built on great hardware products, not the services model now being promoted by Tim Cook.

Great Video! Just so you know, Korg Gadget 3 now allows you access each gadget as Auv3. Now you don’t have to be KG3 to use the different gadgets. Definitely worth a try especially in AUM.

Things have come a long way already since I joined the platform in 2016! Amazing stuff!

AUM + Drambo is absurdly powerful. I love being able to use Drambos LFOs, MSEGs and PLocks to modulate 3rd party plugins. There’s nothing else quite like it I’ve found. I’ve tried using logic for iPad, but I find it difficult to use a traditional daw on such a small screen, so I just record in AUM and upload to my Mac.

Hi Jeffy, thank you. Excellent list! Loopy Pro is another app. Is it a looper, is it a DAW? It is very versatile and like most good apps, it is a steep learning curve. You can make and customise it for your own needs.

I really appreciate you making this very informative video. I especially enjoy that you aren’t a looper yourself and don’t keep repeating what you’re saying or dragging on the same thing to make me go crazy like some other YouTubers are very successful at doing. I ran into this video after watching so many other mobile daw videos, because I am trying to figure out what mobile daw to start learning how to use. I love to use korg gadget to create music. I kept going back to FL studio mobile for a daw I could potentially use to mix manipulated stems along with korg instruments or exported audio files, and maybe even without korg and just the built in instruments within the daw. I started discovering other daw apps like studio one, loopy pro, and so many more and now Logic, Im a quick learner and for me it’s about finding the one I can do the most with. My main goal is to make edm remixes of all kinds of songs, so I will be making stems of course but I’m trying to find the best daw or a Aum or instrument plug in or whatever to be able to manipulate these stems like I’ve seen them be manipulated with RipX, but I don’t want to work on a computer honestly because it’s going to be just way to expensive that way, so I’m hoping to find the best mobile application for that kind of thing or better yet one daw with those kinds of capabilities that also works smoothly with gadget.

Arturia has 4 or 5 iOS synths up in Europe, so expect they shall get to the States at some point. 👍

Great video! Thank you… can you make a video about combining your creations from different apps into one song?

The Roland Zenbeats is immense. You can load up any synth sound from Rolands entire zencore library and move it onto the ipad using .svz files. That's 50 years of synthesis R&D for $47 AUD a year. The inter OS compatibility a full cloud synching is unbelievable and Korg Electribe Wave is bananas! (its my favourite) If anyone sits down and spends 1 to 2 months on any one of these apps, they would be very surprised at how powerful they are. Yes, you can replace your entire studio wit these two apps and a decent midi keyboard and of course a professional, class compliant audio interface.. I use the Elektron analog heat mkiii. There is something about having two hands and the tactile apple ipad interface to making music fast.

King of FM is not a synth, it's more of a rompler...I don't regret buying that. The presets are many and gorgeous, and I love everything that developer releases.

Hi Jeffy very interesting video thanks for sharing. I need to know. Now with the i pad pro M4 do you think 8 gigabytes of ram is enought to compose with logic and other apps that you mention in your video? Because we have access to 16 gigabytes of ram on the i pad pro only with 1 tera of storage and the price for that is insane! Thanks in adavance for your answer. You have a new subscriber. Swane, song writer ans singer from France!😉

Hi Jeffy thanks for the information. I have had Logic for the iPad but have not really tried to use it. I am going to sit down with it and mess with it a bit.

I would say Butter Synth is easily best synth on iPad now.

Correction - Cubasis to Cubase Pro was possible long before Logic Pro came to IOS. There's little advantage in going back & forth unless the MAC/PC has the same plugins as the IOS version.
