I remember the lacrosse thing here in NC. Nobody believed it was a lie. They were all rich white kids, and we know how that goes. That's why she wasn't charged.

For those who are wondering why her sentence was short: Daye was alert after he was stabbed. In the hospital he admitted to police that they got into an argument after he found her talking to a cop she knew outside of their apt complex. The cop confirmed the argument because he told them that they needed to take it inside. Once inside they argued again and he got aggressive with her and she stabbed him. He died not too long after that from complications...Because of her past was judged harshly. She wasn't looked as a victim; she was looked as the girl who lied on the lacrosse team

In the LaCrosse incident, it was NOT PROVEN that she lied! Because she'd been drugged, and couldn't remember a lot of what happened, she was not a good witness. It was declared that there was not enough evidence, so the guys got off. Their parents' big money helped too.

She didn't lie, Duke just had money and power to protect their team.

No legitimate person wants to victim shame. Had this woman been charged when falsely accusing the men's sports team of rape. Would not have been free to murder. When it's clear and proven as a lie. Charges need to be pursued much more intentionally. That way, the real victims with real proof can receive the dignified, responsible justice then deserve .

I was locked up in the Bull w/Crystal when she was awaiting trial in 2012. I’m not gonna speak on the murder bc there’s 3 sides to every story n I respect n believe the victims fam. But w/ that Duke lacrosse ish I believe something happened. N sis strikes me as someone who just couldn’t catch a break 😔

Its a good thing that I know the full story. She was vuolated by those duke lacrosse players. And her boyfriend was stabbed with a non-life threatening injury. Thr doctors killed her boyfriend by botching a roiutine procedure. And the injustice system decided to charge her for murder

That's not how the story actually happened. She should sue whoever put this out.

Women usually get shorter prison sentences. Even with bad charges like murder.

My old golf coach was an investigator on this case. She originally told him that she was lying but the rest of the police force didn’t believe him cause he was white and so was the players. He got fired and when it came out that she was lying he sued and got a nice settlement .

She serving time bc Duke hospital failed to treat Reginald Daye for alcohol withdrawal. Make it make sense. Duke doctors should be serving that time.
