there have been many great final boss themes in the Paper Mario series (even the modern trilogy had some solid ones), but for me it's always been between TTYD and Super's. And after this remake, I think imma have to give it to TTYD. for real those guitars and strings are like 1000% more hype now. The synth climbs and falls are still just as good, but the overall tone of this version is way harder. while the OG is still incredible, this one has an "evil slant" to it that works so well.

I overprepared, I had at least 10 Power Rush and 1 Power Plus so I took her out quick in Phase 2. I definitely get why people say Danger Mario is busted, made all chapters after 6 and the Pit of 100 Trials a joke. 😂

I remember my first ever playthrough. I could never beat her, no matter how I tried. And eventually I gave up.

...I eventually beat her on my second playthrough on the gamecube but let's say this was my first time for dramatic effect

It used to be Spectacular Finale. Then it went to being The Final Battle. But now, I think I have to give this the crown for my favorite final boss theme of the series. The original was already incredible, zero shade towards it, but I love how heavy this version sounds! Everything from 0:58 is amazing, and oh my God, the new addition at 2:00 for the theme loop... Absolutely incredible! I know a lot of themes in the game got that treatment, but this by far got the best of them! Beautiful glow up of an already S tier final boss theme.

2:13-2:25 that final part before the track loops is epic.

I don't care if I get hate because of this opinion, but this is my favorite paper mario final boss song.

Is it embarrassing to admit I beat bonetail my first attempt before the Queen and she whopped my ass twice lol

I barely survived this fight thanks to some luck from a repel cape and discovering Mrs Mowz has a move that heals 10HP; without those I would’ve died. One of the toughest fights I’ve ever beaten in any game tbh!

I know I complained about about the use of the choir and electric guitars in the final section of this game on the "Battle: Shadow Queen" video, but I don't feel it applies here. Maybe it's because I wasn't as fond as the original final battle music as I was the original Shadow Peach battle music, but also if any theme deserves to feel as climactic as possible with all the bells and whistles, it'd be the actual final battle in the game.

I honestly didn’t really like this boss. It just wasn’t fun, especially the game literally telling you exactly which order of events to do whenever the Shadow Queen charged up, removing any sense of creativity in how you choose to battle.
