These same principles should apply to other LTE router modems too!

thank you brother for helping us how to set up our Mofi's 4500. By your video about how to connet a wifi router to the mofi I was able to make it work thanks to your video of how to set it up. Dude I was having a hard time how to do it, then I came across with your video and you made it very simple, plus you have a cool sense of humor being straingt up. Keeo it up brother

after you do all that @33:45....you have to give it a minute to assign a band

Thanks for your knowledge sharing. What if your signals are up and down but when you check you never see aggravation active? If it is automatic but almost never turns on?

Band 4 worked and then selecting band 13 worked the best for me. I Agree the Band 4 then band 13 works the best.
Thanks for the videos you put out on the Mofi.

As you may or may not remember from my previous comments.. I am running the Sim7 Band 66 things were going smooth until yesterday... barely pulling 1.5megs down.. signal strength 116 WTF!.. was at 95 the day before... ugh.. looked to see if the freaking antennas had moved, destroyed, or otherwise damaged .. nope... The temperature on the Mofi was 98°C WTF! Ive seen it in the 70's but never 98°C.. . then it says I'm connected on band 2.. i'm band locked to 66 wtf.. how's it doing that?? I ponder... Wife's not happy.. we go to bed, I wake up at 1:30am.. I scan bands 66, 13, 4, 2 .. I set up on 13 reboot and signal strength is 97 30 megs down.. 10 minutes later it says it's on band 4.. wtf... it's like it is trying to aggregate but it can't it's a Sim7.. This Sim 7 is going back the Sim4 will be here tomorrow.. and hopefully the Log Periodic too.. I should have just gotten the

Dude I’m trying so hard. I have mofi 4500 stock and ~3-5 mbps speeds. After one of your videos I realized my Nighthawk is fried so there’s that. I really feel like my only hinder is ignorance. How can I search for local towers and signal strength?

band 4 is usually for data dont use why it is quicker

What do you do if the mofi internet LED goes on for fives mins at a time then turns off the next five mins. I can only get internet a few mins at a time. I’m in the 14 day trial so I want to get out of this before I lose money

You can not do carrier aggregation between towers. This is completely wrong. You also can not point the antennas different directions as the main has tx and rx and the aux is used for diversity and mimo on rx only. You don't get carrier aggregation on the aux at all. You dont even need it. It's for mimo and diversity only, not carrier aggregation.

Oh and @John Barth, The reason it doesn't show it aggregating when you are just staring at it is because it only kicks in and shows up when there is data being received or sent on the network. If no devices are using data, it will just say it's inactive or unassigned! I figured that out last week! Do a speed test with the window of the mofi4500 in and you will see it kick on during the speedtest!

I got the new Mofi 4500 a week ago. Using AT&T the tower
is less than a mile from me. I get around 20 to 25 down. Using one band my
signal strength is around -90 and I think that is good but my signal quality is
-11 to -15 and I think this is my issue. I
have looked for other antenna as well. I have my Mofi sitting in a window. I
have tried advanced band locking combinations and one band worked best for me.
Everyone’s location is different so you have to play with it. I am in a big
city so it might just be traffic for me but I know I should get better signal
quality. I understand anything above -12 can cause issues. Thanks for the post.
We need a place we can all figure this stuff out.
One more thing. I have a 50 foot cable running from the Mofi
to a 10 port splitter so I can run other Computers and TVs and the quality is
almost the same so if you need something better than Wi-Fi you can try that
out.

Nice! Your diversity signal strength is your secondary antenna signal. If you unplug secondary antenna you will see diversity signal drop off but main will stay, plug it back up and diversity will come back. I found out because i had a bad antenna and called mofi and they walked me through the troubleshooting.

Do you leave the regular band lock on auto?

Curious as to the difference in speed (and quality) between your twin WirEng setup and your final twin Log Periodic twin. While the WirEng work just fine they are more than twice the money. Thanks for commenting.
