I feel so sad for Lami. She is one of the most anticipated among all SM Rookies. But its okay, if she want to really take the actress path, I will still support.

I remember Yuri of SNSD said they are being assessed almost every blink of their eyes. Even in training rooms someone are doing the rounds to check on them. She said they feel like walking on egg shells even in their sleep.

SM has so much female trainees then they just debut 4-5 members. And then all those trainees who’ve been training for years end up getting old and so they have less chance in debuting and just leaving. I wish SM would debut 6-7 members

I’ve been a fan of aespa since predebut (sm rookies) and I’m still sad sr14g didn’t debut among all the sm rookie batch the only one who made it to the final lineup was ningning. I was so happy when she debuted but I was sad for koeun, lami, and hina since they trained the longest. But still I’m so proud of all the girls (Koeun, Herin, Lami, Jungyeon, and Yiyang my forever sm rookie girls).

Its kinda normal these situation for most of the kpop companies. Like former Pledis trainee Samuel, and the A team trainee (not remember his name tho) situation is also sad. There were indeed alot of sm trainees back then aside from SM Rookies. Even they called it sm hidden trainee especially girls. Like Natty, she joined SM the same year with Joy. but she didnt make it the debut line up of RV or maybe even the new gg at that time and leave shortly after that to join JY papi.

SM is not the only one who keeps trainee's hanging on forever. Purple Kiss's Chaein and Ireh (who are both extremely talented) were YG trainees for many many years before they went to RBW.

I'm so salty they didn't debut all those girls. They literally debuted so many boys but only Ningning in the new group😢. They could have made another 4th gen girl group after or before Aespa.

i’ve been keeping up w koeun since around 2018ish. shame to see her give up idol life, she’s pretty much a influencer now and i feel pretty bad when i see her posting weight loss products along with her on a scale. wish sm had more respect and clarity with their longtime trainees

Pero le informaron a Yeri que no iba a debutar con las rookies de esa época y se iba a añadir como miembro de Red Velvet. And then you have fans from nugu or small companies shtting on the ones that succeed to debut as if they dont spent years working hard and gambling their future for secured debut without debts chasing them. Big company got privilege yes but to compete against all those trainees is still hard worked and you want to be bitter with their success?? Big company also started from scratch so i cant with those small company stans crying about organic or privilege. Its pathetic

It’s sad, but it’s also a part of life. College application, job interviews… I see no problem with SM in regards to younger trainees anymore, they don’t debut whole lineups of minors and the training has the right outcomes. I see a problem with existing idol treatment being put in a trash folder and waiting for the slave contract to expire

SM had these limitless member idea since Suju (like NCT) Red Velvet was going to debut with first 4 member but then depends on the concept Blue Velvet, Pink Velvet, Black Velvet was also going to expand. Thats why all female rookies are in the Happiness video. But the their debut was messy and when Yeri added to RV she got so much hate they scrapped the idea.
