I am a Saudi citizen studying in the U.S.
My political science courses in the united states have taught me well about the country which the U.S. founding fathers envisioned and aimed to build. I read that your country went through great deal of change. From the establishment of the central banking system by Alexander Hamilton, to the abolition of slavery. After 300 years of such history, it comes to me as a surprise why does your government's officials not understand that other nations progress is a fruit of their own social and political growth, just like yours. It is time for western politicians to expect to be scrutinized by "concerned" Saudis about the embarrassing job they did to combat the COVID19. We are citizens of the same world, and it is continually connecting. Saudis will no longer entertain hateful rhetoric against our country, its leaders and people. Because this pandemic has proven without any doubt that the democratic nature of western countries, has produced ill equipped governments in the face of true crisis, yet very good at delegating the blame on the other party, only good in winning elections and entertaining the hateful, stereotypical ridden and unproductive rhetoric of the common man. Not knowing that other citizens of the world are listening. The theatricals western politicians are playing are no longer only harmful to their societies, this pandemic will cause their failure to hurt the world at large.

Sincerely.

A Saudi citizen.
