Clickbait aside, this was genuinely the first shred lick I managed to get some speed on! If you want an easy shred lick (aimed at intermediate or ambitious beginners), this trill technique is a solo style every guitar player should know. It's still one of my favourites and you can create much longer solo just by moving it about- which we learn to do in this tutorial for guitarists. Nicked from Iron Maiden's Dave Murray, but a tonne of players use this. Tabs for the lick and the larger lead lines to give you a idea of what you can do with this one simple trick!
