Les Paul Junior Guitar build - Start to Finish - No Talking + Sound Demo - Mosal Guitars

Welcome to the full 'super edit' video of this guitar build. You can watch each of the 14 episodes as part of the playlist.

I spent a year slowly building a 50's les paul junior double cut, both the neck and body were taking from a single board. I added an ebony fretboard, headstock veneers front and back, mother of pearl inlays and a custom Bareknuckle P90 that screams and cleans all in one.

That's a beauty, well done. The double cut LP Junior is one of my favourite ever guitars.

Just wanted to say nice job.

That said and I'm surprised I didn't see it mentioned - I understand being anxious at times or caught up in the flow of the process, but you really want to show that table saw some respect. It will absolutely take a finger, or more, quicker than you can blink. Just the thought of losing or severely damaging a finger has always made me cringe. That has kept all ten digits intact the last 35+ yrs since I started. Wouldn't want you or anyone else having to move forward missing a couple of very valuable friends. For anyone just getting into this stuff, invest some time in basic tool setup and safety.

Carry on brother 👍

My fav go to punk rock guitar . A luthier friend, made me one with a serious huge d baseball bat neck . Banana yellow . One piece mahogany, body one piece neck volute, Seymour antiquity p90, tone pro locking bridge, kluson tulip, a bit of a modern twist to it. And I had to put in inlay LAMF . In memory of Johnny thunder’s, for me he was the best ambassador of the juniors. Great built btw . I subscribed instantly ❤❤❤

In order to watch a bit quicker, I sped up the video to 1.75 speed. I could still see everything just fine, and enjoyed your build style. But I have to say, when it got the end of the video, you were a monster ;-)

Nice build, only thing i would say is i dont like seeing frets hammered in with that amount of force, it can deform the metal. I do prefer to press them in wherever possible

I read one of your comments below about intonation, that you don't care for the bridge on your build....I have a Gibson LP DC, single pkup, and I got for Christmas in 2022, a Hipshot Baby Grand Guitar Bridge.
The name sounds like what it looks like, a Baby Grand piano, the shape of the bridge.
Mine works great, and really cool looking, plus, much better for palm muting, more surface area in other words.
I'd post a link, not sure if youtube would like that, but google that bridge, you'll see it.
They are pricey, but I think well worth it. Mine intonated great.

You're build looks great man, really nice, and sounds great!!

Wow, such a nice guitar. Amazing work. How many hours does something like that take to build?

My 2 cents, I would use original Titebond instead of Titebond 2. TB-2 glue joints can creep after while. Especially with something that has constant tension on it.

Holy shit.. this is a great build, at first a was a little worried about that tenon and mortis being not a great match to each other, but it turned out perfect. If you are going to be honest, is the guitar a great player guitar ? does it intonate properly ? String action nice and low ? Is the neck the profile you did aim for ? How long did it take to build this guitar ? Thanks for sharing...

may i ask whats the finish your using...? i like that kind of finish, not a lacquer, just very thin and still little shiner but not gloss or matt, and make those woodgrain look great. i like it alot.

You need to sharpen your plane. The whole bench is shaking. The end result is nice tho.

Very nice work, but needs a pickguard.

Great job. It's a shame that Crimson template has a strange over complicated neck joint. The real DC has a much simpler way of doing it. Glad you did such a wonderful work, despite this.
