Simply Civil #short demonstrating a #siphon. The Siphon works by allowing graviy to move water through a pipe from a higher container to a lower container. The tube itself can gain altitude and the water will flow upwards, as it does for a short length after leaving the first glass, just so long as the second glass is below the first. gravity converts the potential energy of the water in teh first glass, which is at a higher position in the Earth's Gravitational field, to kinetic energy through the tube to the lower glass. The water sticks together as one body due to the viscous force between the molecules. Important point missed is the water can travel upwards as it does after it leaves the top glass, before traveling to the bottom glass..!
