The dark continent is so fucking interesting. My mind was blown when i finally figured out that the ants weren't just an overly big type of ant from the dark continent, they were the exact size they should be. Yet Humans are that exact same size... Its truly insane when you figure that out. Think of an ant in our world. So small and fragile, yet able to lift so much more weight then they should. In hxh thats humans. Beings as small and insignificant as an ant. In the greater context of the world humans are almost nothing. Yet it gets even more interesting when you think. Even an ant from the dark continent is known as the strongest singular being yet to be encountered by humans in the series. That is truly fascinating...

In a sense, we do live in a lake and there is a dark continent surrounding us. The Earth is surrounded by Space and the Dark Continent is all the planets and asteroids that are in the universe.
