I finished my mech/Aero engineering in 1991. That was almost thirty years ago. I miss my college life in Hatfield. And I was a overseas student from Hong Kong China. I' m a father of a Industrial engineering son here at University of Hong Kong right now! This video brings back lots of memories!! In fact the campus has changed a lot.

What amazing in-house facilities! In our four Business Studies years (ended 1974) both me and my best friend and athletics training partner Dennis would love calling into the cafeteria absolutely starving mid-evening and filling up on chips, peas and whatever. The remainder of our time was spent on the 'Bayfordbury House '(nr. Hertford ) Business and Social Sciences campus (long closed) rejoicing in country house / country estate living, and more importantly our long daily runs both over village roads and within the countless acres of adjoining woodlands. It was simply paradise and light years different to the bland / modern main campus in Hatfield. I often look back recalling just how very lucky we were to be stationed there. Any advice?

Wherever you are located don't idle away your time. Unless you are pursuing a 'First' you will have loads of spare time on your hands. Don't waste it on drinking, tv, and computer games. Pursue a hobby, sport, or interest with vigour and truly grow as an adult. through whatever you choose to apply yourself at. And, such sideline achievements will ultimately single you out when applying for employment.

Wow, it's changed SO much! I graduated years ago in 2002!
The Elehouse was there, and the LRC is still the same, but otherwise I would be so lost now. Facilities look great though. Mercer, lindop and Todd buildings are the same! good video, thanks.

Hi! I wanna ask, how the international students usually go around the city? Is it using bus or bicycle?
And do they have adequate transportations to London?
Thanks!

Hi, I visited Hertfordshire on the open day today - I'm looking to study geography and the course is absolutely amazing but the campus seemed eerily quiet - the only people around were people attending the open day and I saw close to no students, not in the departments or helping out? Is it always like that on a Saturday? Is it because people commute and go home on weekends, or is it quiet during the week too?
