Grave of the fireflies is one of the best and most saddest films ever. Studio ghibli did an amazing job of adapting the ideas from the Japanese wars in this film. I’ve watched this movie a few times and what I can say is that I’m never watching it again because of how sad and depressing it is. And the most heartbreaking thing about it is that all of it was a adapted from a true story. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

the ending made me cry to death as it hard not just through my chest but through my soul and core. Especially since it didn’t end up getting its happy ending. Having the mother dead, younger sister die, and the brother dead in the end really broke me 💔. We never even got to see the father as he was at war but I assumed he was dead, considering the amount of destruction. The brother (Seita) was brilliant. Not only taking care of his sister till the end but, stole and worked hard for her during the war. This movie definitely changed my life.
