That’s actually something I didn’t think about, Erwin tells them all including floch to charge into battle to honor the fallen, it’s probably even more important to floch because he was the only survivor so he wants to honor those who have fallen by defending the country they’ve fallen for.

In the end Floch and Eren were proven right. Since the credits show Paradis island getting bombed to hell and back and probably everyone there getting shelled. Diplomacy works until it doesn't.

Floch was an a$$ but his character was incredibly well written. He was the only one who stood with eren and he did so because he knew it was necessary to avoid extermination.

What people don't realize is that when he went against his comrades he was also doing it for their sake. He wanted them all to live because they were his people. They chose against eren and so he really had no choice but to be their enemy. Great character and he deserves more praise.
