The most surprising benefit I got from yoga has to be when I first began yoga and noticed it helped my anxiety. I didn’t know anything about what yoga did or how it worked. But for me personally it completely transformed my anxiety and panic attacks.

The most surprising benefit from doing yoga for me, has been being able to create a habit that brings me peace & silence when it comes to my mind. I’ve really been struggling with the inner monologue in my mind. So being able to surrender for a couple of minutes feels like heaven.

The most surprising thing I got from yoga has been the instant relief I feel after a practice even if it is a short one like this. Getting to the mat can be challenging. Every time I get done I wonder how I could ever second guess getting to it everyday, but I'm growing and making it a non-negotiable in my life. Yoga has been a saving grace. The most surprising thing for me is how much benefit i can get out of such a short amount of time spent practising yoga daily.
I think It's so much better for me to do a little each day than overcommitting myself, wearing out and then stopping altogether.

I could write paragraphs about my benefits from my Yoga practice.
Stumbled upon a Tara Lee DVD in 2018, then practiced a bit w Patrick Harrington in Denver before returning home to Chicago. It has changed my life.
If I had to summarize the benefits, Id say it was the ability to practice the most holistic form of self love. Reacting less, breathing more.

Woke up late today! But it didn’t stop me from being consistent! The most surprising benefit I have achieved with yoga is getting my spirits to flow through freely through me so I am able to give the message precisely. Also saved me from depression and anxiety! There were moments when I finished a session and bawled my eyes out and said thank you! I never knew I had so much stuck in my spirit! Yoga for life! ❤

my surprising benefit with yoga has been its help with connecting to the heart and regaining that trust that the mind sometimes distracts you from. It truly does become a craving but it too is a privilege to move this body and be able to shimmy any of that stuck energy out. My surprising benefit is, I'm able to practice every day. I found that one thing that showed me so many benefits that I want to do it everyday since almost 2 years now. Thanks for the 5 min sessions. Longer sessions once or twice a week.
