London Humanist Choir sings The Seal Lullaby

The Seal Lullaby is a staple number of the London Humanist Choir. Its lyrics are taken from a poem by Rudyard Kipling and set to music by Eric Whitacre. Its soothing, lilting sounds and association with the sea lend it a theme of nurture and nature, and it is well-suited to humanist baby-naming ceremonies. I created this video to accompany our 2019 studio recording of The Seal Lullaby, which was featured in the Humanists UK online Humanist National Memorial Ceremony on 23 June 2020.
