International celebs tweet in solidarity with farmers, Indian stars say 'IndiaAgainstPropaganda'

A host of international celebrities, politicians and sports personalities over the past two days expressed their solidarity with the farmers protesting at Delhi's borders. In reponse, the Ministry of External Affairs Wednesday said such comments were neither accurate nor responsible, and said India was against propaganda. Many Indian celebrities echoed the statement, including Virat Kohli, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar among others.

Wow....what kind of social validation are you seeking? When Chief Economist of IMF praised the farm laws, you did not talk about it....but when Rihaana and Mia Khalifa tweeted the support to farmers....you are all over it.
And what about the riots that these farmers caused on 26th Jan....no celeb seems to be talking about it.

Somebody had famously said “I disagree with what you say but I will forever fight to uphold your right to say it” or words to that effect. Exercising a right to protest does not automatically make the reason of the protest automatically right too.
The celebrities and activists jump onto a band wagon supporting the right to protest as, often it is their bread and butter to fame.

A democratic Nation is run by elected Governments and not celebrities and activists. And democracy is not always about protests...
