Literally sent a support ticket to Valve asking for this, because I feel like anyone that actually cares about the game will go through a captcha to play

Honestly I think implementing a TF2 themed captcha would be pretty fun. Having screenshots of maps from the game, and it asks "select all pictures containing a medkit" or "select all pictures containing a mercenary" and stuff like that. And have a RED Sniper bot in the corner of the captcha screen at all times sorta like a meta joke.

I’ve always said like a captcha similar to the roblox login one, but it appears a ton of people like LazyPurple have issues solving it lol

This isnt so dumb, adding a simple captcha everytime you want to enter a server probably could work wonderfully

i feel like after a couple of weeks later alot of bot creators will definatly quit because of the annoying hassle of having to tend to every bot when a votekick is called on them

Or we just implement reCAPTCHA v2, wich is not a box the user has to click, it just records how and where you click to determine if you're a bot or not

What would really be helpful in fighting off bots is to put profile pictures on vote kicks that appear in-game and voice chat icons. It would easily prevent false kicking by bots and make kicking them quicker by being able to identify who they are.

Technically ddosing that's happening doesn't require the ddoser to actually connect to the server. It just requires the server to be pinged. Technically there are several ways a server can be DDoSed, but I'm imagining those causing it have to discover something before they can execute it.

I believe that if they can program aimbots they can program a bot to hit a captcha button, it needs to be a picture captcha

It's all fun and games for the bot user until it says verify your email

I would say make you do the captcha before you queue for every match and maybe make it something like “which image has ____ class”
