Details about the video and answers to some questions:

- This is a weevil, they eat seeds, roots and vegetation amongst other things. They also have long snouts, that’s why I called him Mr Snout lol (I know the anatomical name isn’t a snout, it’s a rostrum)

- The plant doesn’t realize things like we do, it “realizes” that something is in it’s mouth by the continued stimulation of the trigger hairs in the trap

- Yes, the beetle and plant doesn’t know or not know things like we do. This is meant to be entertaining as well as informative.
