My family is planning a trip to Tulum for April 2025, and we’re looking to split our time between experiencing the true Tulum vibe for a few days and then transitioning to an all-inclusive resort for the remainder of the trip. My son, who is 6 years old, will be joining us, so we’d love to find a beachfront hotel in Tulum that’s both family-friendly and gives us that authentic Tulum experience. We’re hoping to explore the beaches, cenotes, local food, and the unique vibe the area has to offer.

Dreams Tulum is like a 5/10 minute drive to the city of Tulum. It's not that bad, they also have rental cars on property for you to rent $90 a day including insurance.

I've been going to Puerto Vallarta for 7 or 8 years and I love it there but it's gotten so expensive. I've seen some of the airbnb's like $700 for a week! But then I've heard that the experience in East Coast of Mexico for Americans can be rather poor because too many locals try to all kinds of scams

What is it like to park your car in Tulum? Is it difficult to find parking spaces on the street? Do you need to pay for parking?

"Tulum" is like vegas, lots of foreigners and few locals. There is no "culture" in Tulum. Its all bs, an imagination, something like a lie keeps repeating and starting to become true. Thetown sucks, just like cabo. The beaches, cenotes and the park would be something to try.

I will never go back to Tulum. It is $25 just to get into a Taxi. I want to go six kilometers to get to the beach and back. It will cost me $50. I need to go to the store it's another $50. This is just a rip off. No wonder they will not allow UBER here!
