"ignorance will always ridicule"
In one of Brene Brown's talks, she discusses the people in the stands vs those on the field, or on the stage, or whatever. To the people in the stands, they may feel entitled to their opinions, but it really isn't meaningful to us unless they are actually also on the playing field. Spectators who do not participate nor try, will always find something to critique. Understanding it in that way made things click into place for me.

The easiest most difficult thing is dropping the mind

Consciousness just gets so gritty and dirty, it is possible to fill the human mind with so many delusions. I appreciate what you're doing by trying to 'clean up' the human mind. I wish the waters could be still for everyone, so they could separate the wheat from the chaff better. I dunno, sometimes I feel like stumbling upon the power of human consciousness was a mistake. But I don't even like saying that, because human consciousness can also be a tool for such beauty! The study of science, the miracles of art, the gift of empathy, all these things are of the mind. But also the bullshit indoctrination, the manipulation, the insanity, the endless games. Garghh! Can't we make this tool work for us?

But it's like the myth of Pandora's box, or the Garden of Eden. This level of brain-power may just turn out to be too dangerous and unwieldy for a mere ape to wield. I hope I'm wrong in the long run.
