Interesting video but I take a bit of issue with you comparing the autonomous miles driven. Right now, fsd must be supervised, waymo et al are not by design.

It is impressive that TSLA shows less accidents than a driver without fsd, and they should be acknowledged for that, but if fsd is equivalent to waymo in ability, which I counter it's not, why hasn't Elon deployed fsd robotaxis in California?

It's a no-brainer to do this if the vehicles are truly capable and would shut up skeptics like me and the stock would probably skyrocket on the news.

Not that it would immediately show huge revenue, cause it's not for waymo, but again it would clearly show their vehicles are ready now and a camera-based only solution is viable.

What other reason besides they are not ready has he not applied in California? Well, there is one as I mentioned earlier, they might not allow them with no redundancy systems.

But either scenario looks bad: either they aren't ready or would get rejected due to regulations.

If the above isn't correct, please tell me why Tesla wouldn't apply for California robotaxi right now?
