I’m from Maine. Perhaps the only place where, during the right time of year, you can find fiddleheads for sale at grocery stores.

Never knew these were edible thank you for the info and entertainment, there is a mock version of this plant in my favorite game, Pikmin.

It's amazing how many edible things you can find when you forage it in a damp forest.

Here in Oregon we have mushrooms galore, chanterelle's grow like crazy here.

I'm from India and we get a lot of them in our northern region, people make a couple of dishes out of them as well. They are absolutely delicious.

I'm from Maine and pick 2000+lbs a year and send them all over but the fiddleheads here are not fuzzy they are solid green with a orange brown paper covering the head and the are only good for a few weeks a year as they grow out of the shoot before they unfurl into ferns

I guess you never read Enid Blyton as a child lol. She wrote about kids eating fiddleheads. Thats crazy it's not mentioned now tho. Man I'm showing how nerdy I am.

You can eat them raw, you just wipe it down really good to get the fuzz off of it. They are very tasty though!
