Regy Thorpe - Powell Lacrosse Legends

Regy Thorpe is one of the best defenders to ever play in the NLL.

Regy stayed close to his Upstate roots helping Syracuse to an NCAA Title in 1993. He would go on to a storied pro career with the Rochester Knighthawks in the NLL and Rochester Rattlers in the MLL. A solid defender with a mean streak, you could always count on Regy to hold down the fort.

Regy is an 2x All-American, 1991 JUCO Defensive Player of the Year, NCAA Champion, 2x NLL Champion, 2002 Heritage Cup Champion, and the first player-GM in NLL history with the K-Hawks.

Regy made his presence known with his big checks and aggressive style. He made the little plays throughout the game on defense that were crucial for his teams to get the win. An amazing leader, he was a captain for every team he played for and has now coached at every level. He has been instrumental for the continued growth of American box lacrosse. We’re proud to have played with and against one of the toughest guys to ever lace em up.
