Daniel shows you how to make classic Doenjang Jjigae (Korean Soybean Stew). This is a staple soup of Korea. Most households will eat it multiple times a week - including us! There are so many different types of doenjang paste at the Korean markets. You might get a headache from having to select. I show you how to make it the traditional way - using classic doenjang paste.

Drop us a request for a particular dish:

Doenjang jjigae is my favorite! I remember the first time I made it, I sent a video to you and Katie. It was so delicious and my family loved it! Now I wish I had a bowl!
Today I made your 15 minute shiitake mushroom and asparagus bowl. Thing is, it took me an hour to cook, since I made the entire meal with one hand!...LITERALLY!!! Still recovering from wrist surgery. Still another two months to go before I’m able to use my (dominant) hand. What an experience this has been!

First thing I go to at the airport is a Dunkin Donuts coffee! When I lived in many places overseas I had such wonderful food and I could also cook my food from home so I don't think there is any food that I had to have right when I got home well back to Maine. Probably lobsters and clams and mussels would have been the first meal when I got back that I wanted. Complete with corn on the cob and clarified butter and a giant Strawberry Shortcake homemade with local strawberries at the end. That is what we call a clambake.

That looks so good 😩😩😩😩 I love to cook so I usually make meals for my family. Everyone loves seafood except my mom is allergic so when I do have clams or anything like that, it’s a special treat

This looks sooo delicious!
My go-to dish for comfort food is called khichdi. It's basically rice and lentils cooked together with spices and veggies. It's like a hug in a bowl. I'll make it for you guys someday if you come to India! :)

Great channel! Fun, entertaining, and educational. D&K keep the good work. Also keep the carrots. They are needed x color. They add nutritional value. A small amount wont change the flavor profile. Whoever doesnt like can skip them.

Super recipe as always! And when I go home for holidays, I am always aiming for some real French baguette and super stinky cheese first. I miss them so much 😭
