The crew of the Titanic had a choice. Either try to avoid something that was unavoidable or hit the damn thing head on. Either way there would have been consequences. They chose the former and the rest is history. Sometimes we have to choose our consequences, the ones we might thank ourselves for later on.

Another family I know has a narcissistic member of the family. None of them talk to each other but they live in the same county. The daughter began caring for her dark mom much the same way as my son did with his dad. She had dementia at this point. The older brother took it to court which was really wise he's a police officer. They took the care of her out of the daughter's hands which I believe would save her life. Because because the narc will suck them dry. So she has a financial caretaker from the court and she's in an assisted living and it also forces the sale of her home so to pay for the nursing home. I really liked how this worked out because ultimately it will save the daughter's life. So I feel better choices were made in this family because of the older brother having a head on her shoulder. Now the daughters living independently. The husband had divorced the narc at age 70 and I believe this caused a mental health breakdown for her. So as you're saying good choices.

I wish an advice would fit all povs. Some of it was great but I was putting myself in the shoes of a person with NPD and they should insist on choosing a person they would trust more than anyone else to pivot them in the right direction. I really wish you could take a step back and fill their shoes.. how do they change (because they should!). If it were for me, I wouldnt be here... My life is Incredibly convoluted Because I enjoy taking on the hardest puzzles some of which you wouldnt even want to fathom the amount of efforts required to solve... but personal issues? Life is easy. Even if I were poor as shit and alone. I was stuck inhaling neurotoxins (without my knowledge for ~4 years). Even decaying, the only thing that disturbed me was how messed up our society is. These are the problems that matter and We have the notions to flip these scripts. Lets drag em out of there :) I wanna know your thoughts on the subject even if they're impressions or opinions/doubt. A widespread ask for help from someone with the right background would certainly prompt a generalized wish from the population to perceive what's missing. I think I know what it is, but defining what "caring" is takes more than a bit of research.. it takes a generalized pov over the inherent purposes of language and what we've learned to believe in (and the alternate definitions some individuals have perceived and believe in... O__O). Sorry for the long msg! Help me help us all. I'll get there, though... I just found your channel and like some of the things you seemed to have grasped. Thank you even if you disregard this msg!
