Yes Dan. Just 1 suggestion: everyone hears "remember to take profits" so that's nothing new. The key is what you said about "muscle memory". When assets are surging it's hard to sell cos your natural inclination is to think they'll keep surging and you don't want to miss out. So selling is painful. In late 2021 another Youtuber (Alex Saunders) kept saying "I have a bad feeling about these prices - take profits, take profits!" Finally I did. I lost a lot in the subsequent crash but I'm still up overall thanks to the advice that you and he are dishing out. The key is to keep practising, to do what goes "against the grain" so that it becomes an easy habit after a while. And of course, the old saying is "nobody ever went broke taking profits"! Cheers and thanks for the constant streams in the down times :)

Rob it's not always worth it unless your up at least 40%. Fees for transfer, fees for selling, fees for cashing out, tax implications. If I'm up $200 bucks, I'm lucky if I can get $130 of in cash.

I usually do opposite, I sell initial investment into fiat and leave profit in crypto and hopefully when price goes back down a little I buy back ... did it too with this pump with a little part

Good job - I was wondering what your plans were, since you've been preaching "take profits along the way" during this downturn. Another strateg, y now that we have a little breathing room, is to setup staggered stops and trail them up as things progress. For example, depending on your goals, you can do it to guarantee a minimum profit, or just break even etc. That way you're still in the game if the trend continues.

Ok Rob, here is a question from the cheap rookie seats. I use CashApp. When I sell to take profits, is it last in first out? How does you platform know what to sell or does it matter? My cost basis over time is $32k

Makes total sense! I've been buying and holding thru two market cycles now. Sure it looks great when the prices are up, but I've never sold and I wish I had a few times. Simply to make my vacations a little bit nicer. It's like changing jobs or having kids, If you're waiting for the "perfect" time to do anything, you'll wait forever.

My DCA goes into a cold wallet, so then I would have to transfer it into an exchange, then I when sell it, I get hit with a fee, then when I buy again, I pay a fee again. Not worth it for a small amount
