Aerospace grinding, drilling, and milling operations can now be accomplished under one machine platform: Makino's G7 5-axis horizontal machining center. Designed as a flexible, single-platform solution for the machining of aerospace blades, vanes, turbine disks and other complex grinding applications, the G7 enables manufacturers to eliminate setups, work in process, stack-up errors, and fixture costs. Its flexible spindle design and robust coolant system are capable of efficiently machining a variety of materials, including inconel, waspalloy and nickel based alloys. The G7 also simplifies the manufacturing process with NC-controlled intermittent dress.
