I just bought a plane ticket to fly my first ever great pyrenees from the lower 48 to our Alaska homestead. We are excited for her to join our family!

They LOVE children, and mine saved my life by jumping into action. All of a sudden, my calm lumbering friend became a ninja!! You nailed this review, and I don't mind all the fur, so you perfectly explained why this breed is a wonderful companion for a family.

I adopted my Pyr - he was a former LGD on a ranch - and he’s easily (and happily) adjusted to lazy non-working home life. 🤣

I love my pyr dearly, and she's almost 14 years old, still loves to go for walks and gaze out over the horizon, because everything she sees is hers. They're escape artists, diggers and will sit for you if they feel like it. They were bred to be independent thinkers, some people call them the most calm dog I've ever had!

My Great Pyrenees/ Caucasian Ovcharka was given to me by a farmer. She is a bundle of joy. I had a Cane Corso that I had to give away due to a motorcycle accident I was not able to take care of her spending 4 months in the hospital and 2 weeks at the VA. I was given my girl for Emotional Support. She does her job. I can say to be 4 months old she is the biggest and cutest puppy I have ever had. She def stole my heart. Never had that kind of mixture so I am definitely waiting to see what kind of personality she gets. I am sure whenever I move south or southwest on a little farm or ranch to start a rescue/ rehabilitation center for GP and COs. Then would like to have them be adopted by other military vets that need that emotional support. I can say never had ptsd from the military and the accident stopped playing when I got her. No need for meds. She keeps my spirits up and my anxiety down.

I adopted my great Pyrenees, and I’m so lucky to have an enormous fenced in backyard where she can roam around and bark to her hearts content.
One of her favorite things is going out before the sunrises and all she does is stand there and watch the sunrise and it’s beautiful

I used to say the Golden Retriever was my favorite large dog but was put off by their high activity needs. Now, since I got a Great Pyrenees mix and see the great personalityshine through, I fell in love with the breed and hope to have a purebred one day. Perhaps from a Great Pyrenees rescue. Thanks for the review.

I learn more about my pup every day. They love to work, weather training or in with goats. He loves being with me in house but also enjoys wandering my 50 acre pasture.

I adopted a Great Pyrenees he used to live outside alone now we live together in a small apartment and I am a student. he is the sweetest and cutest ever. He doesn’t know how big he is. They are amazing but they will listen when they want not when they have to always... strong character I say. He also is extremely friendly and all he wants from strangers is pets. He does bark and alert when he hears noises around the apartment or door.

I had a Great Pyr. Growing up, the sweetest breed ever. I miss him. His name was Booker T Washington lol

We had a Pyrenees growing up. He was so awesome. Stubborn and very smart. But loving and loyal too.

I adopted a 6-9 months old 40lb GP/mix from a shelter. She is now 95lbs, all white beautiful, very aggressive when there is a delivery, will lounge at loud cars going by or anything moving fast. So I can’t walk on a trail/street were there are joggers or bikers.
She is great with other dogs, loves and melts over kids, eats very little, barks a lot, not as obedient as other dogs, learns very easily but will check to see if I have a treat before she obeys. Overall a great dog

My saint pyrenees became my best friend 8 years ago when I found a 9 week old puppy to adopt. I had saint Bernard's before but I must say I was pleasantly surprised to have found my forever love.

We got ours as a puppy and socialized the crap outta him and I’m glad to say he’s friendly. Still will alert you to strangers though.

My GP lives in a small house with a small yard but I take him for at least two walks a day and at least a bit weekly trip to the dog park and he's fine. When he isn't walking with me or playing he is sleeping. Seriously he sleeps like 16 hours a day.

Your voice is mesmerizing! I babysit one of these with my 2 whippets... wonderful dog ...protects me, my husband and my 2 whippies ( they look like shaved sheep, right? hehe.) Thank you. Stay healthy!

I adopted a Pyr puppy who will eventually take the place of a wonderful German Shepherd-Golden Retriever-Wolf who would tour my fenced acre and a quarter and keep my rescues (I do small dog rescue) safe from coyotes. The puppy has already impressed me with her calm demeanor and her willingness to adapt to the life I have chosen for her.
She will always be outdoors when the small dogs are in the yard but, never kept outdoors alone...

Just adopted my first puppy as an young adult man in my 20s and he’s a beautiful Pyrenees mix. He’s the chillest sweetheart of a dog ever, so quiet and goofy and relaxed. Rarely cries or barks compared to a lot of other dogs and puppies I’ve known or heard about.
