2025 Triumph Trident 660 review | INFO MOTO

Triumph Motorcycles has launched its updated Trident 660 naked bike, which is available in both LAMS and full-power specification, and priced from $14,290 rideaway.

The first major update to the Trident 660 platform since its launch in 2021 sees significantly upgraded technology including a six-axis IMU for optimised cornering ABS and traction control, an up/down quickshifter and cruise control fitted as standard. Also new is a new Sport rider mode joining the carry-over Road and Rain settings.

On the performance front, the 2025 Triumph Trident 660 benefits from new Showa SFF-BF ‘big-piston’ forks, while the preload adjustable rear shock carries over along with Nissin brakes (310mm discs) and Michelin Road 5 tyres.

In LAMS guise, the Trident 660 generates 40kW and 59Nm from its 660cc triple-cylinder engine, however, the newly introduced full-power variant boosts outputs to 60kW and 63Nm from the same mill.

2025 Trident 660 units can be identified by four colour options: Cosmic Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Diablo Red and Jet Black.

I bought the Trident the first day it came out here in Texas, and although I traded it in for my XSR900, I still miss the whirls and whooshes from that 3cyl 660 powertrain. It is the perfect urban commuter that can be a blast in the twisties.

I have a 2022, which was the first model year. Just had my 32, 000 km service a few months ago, which was the first one for the dealership. The bike is a blast! Triumph seems kind enough to make mine a collectors item as i have the matte black tank.

Unless i missed it, it now has a sport mode, which negates the lazy throttle, some folks moaned about, i have a 1st gen model, never bothered me, just gave it beans! Thank you for the video. 👍

How many miles ( or kilometers) it goes per liter of gas? How about the fuel tank capacity? Is this bike just to have pleasure or fun?
For me what makes a bike great is it’s versatility. I do not see this bike being the choice for a very wide range of consumers. But O could be wrong.

Although it is nice to see the addition of the IMU, the front brakes do not have four piston calipers. Even the scrambler 400 and speed 400 have four piston calipers on their basic bikes.

Would be good to get the cruise control for the older years aswell. Colors are nice but cant match at all on the baja matte orange and others even. White stripes are meh.

I'm torn between the 2025 Trident 660 and the 2025 Yamaha XSR900. I think you get a lot on the Yamaha for the extra $2500 but the Triumph just looks great.
